I started as an apprentice hairdresser, however that didn’t plan on being the career pathway I was willing to go down. I have always had a passion for beauty therapy, so I knew straight away that this was the job for me! I love making people feel good about themselves and the way they look. I originally thought I wanted a career in nursing, however found that it was not for me. I knew I loved caring for people and have always loved beauty – turns out that beauty is where my heart lies and I have found a career I am extremely passionate about. I also hope to complete my diploma in beauty in 2023.

I hold a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and have been in the industry for 8 years. As a first-time mum, I thought it would be best to take a step back from seeing clients and focus on salon coordinating.

I went to an agricultural high school and realised half way through that this was not the career path for me. I started my certificate in beauty while I was juggling year 12 and got my qualification in 2023. I’ve always been passionate about beauty and now I get to do something that I love everyday. I’m a fully qualified beauty therapist and makeup artist who also works at Mecca Cosmetica when I’m not at Ooh La La. I especially love doing brow waxing, shaping and laminations. This is a quick and easy way to elevate someone’s natural features.
