We strive for our Eyelash Extensions Sets to last so that refills are less frequent, saving our clients money. A full set will last anywhere between 4-6 weeks and refill appointments are required between 2-4 weeks. Each client is different and this is due to age, natural lash length and condition, lifestyle and how well you care for the lashes. We offer a range of refill prices starting at $32 for a classic refill.

Eyelash Extensions DO NOT cause damage to your own existing lashes when applied correctly by a trained and competent lash technician. Eyelashes, like any hair on the human body are constantly growing and replacing. You are not born with one set of eyelashes to last your whole lifetime. The life span of an eyelash is anywhere between 30 and 90 days.
YES I have seen damage to natural eyelashes due to Eyelash Extensions, when people have gone to operators who are inexperienced or untrained. However after 90 days that damage has grown out and you are back with what you started with.

We take approximately 1-1.5 hours to complete a full set and we stand behind our work 100% due to our lash application and experience. If in the rare event you are not happy with the end result we will work with you to provide a solution however this solution will not be a refund of any kind or free appointments.
Eyelash Extensions are not for everyone, if you have a history of eye sensitivity this may not be the service for you. In some instances, regardless of the therapist’s technique, the adhesive can irritate the eye. In my experience if you react to one glue you will react to all, as they are all made of the same ingredients, only the ratios of each ingredient changes.
WE consider our glue to be a sensitive glue however this glue is not guaranteed to stop irritation. That being said I can say that in almost 7 years, doing approximately over 90,000 Eyelash Extension Services not 1 client has had a severe reaction to our glue from the initial services, that HAS NOT had a reaction before.
If you have had ANY SORT of reaction before visiting Ooh La La Lash Boutique, we will NOT be held accountable for your choice to get your lashes done. If any of our customers have an allergic reaction to the glue within the first 12 hours we will remove the lashes free of charge.
Your initial service charge will not be refunded. In the extremely rare event that a client is unsatisfied with the end result, we do not refund due to ‘change of mind’. An additional appointment will be required in order to remove or change the lashes and this will be at the client’s cost of $40.
Semi-permanent synthetic eyelash extensions are glued one by one onto client’s natural eyelashes (not the skin) by using a specially formulated glue that last 2-6 weeks. Not to be confused with DIY strip or individual flare eyelashes that last no longer than one night. Semi Permanent eyelash extensions allow clients to achieve a beautiful, full, luscious and long sets of lashes that are natural and you won’t even know they are there.
Absolutely. We cannot stress the importance of choosing an eyelash technician who has been taught by a qualified and experienced person. Not a week goes by at Ooh La La Lash Boutique where we don’t receive an SOS call from damsels in distress due to a poorly applied set. There are many eyelash extension operators who are claiming to have been professionally trained but have been self taught via online broadcasting sites and these operators are also using poor quality products bought online.

Using two sets of specifically designed tweezers, the therapist selects a single natural eyelash and applies a synthetic lash to the top approximately 2mm from the eyelid so neither the glue or the lash has contact with the skin.
The procedure will take approximately 1 hour for a full set and approximately 30-45 minutes for a half set and refill appointments start at 15 minutes. It is a meticulous procedure that requires patience and concentration so therefore it should not be rushed so that clients can leave with a perfect set of lashes. You relax with your eyes closed and there is no pain as this is a non-invasive procedure. Often clients are so relaxed they fall asleep.
As the glue has a fast bonding time (approx 3seconds) it cannot be applied when a client has their eye open there fore it is impossible to apply yourself.
At Ooh La La Lash Boutique it is important that our clients are comfortable therefore, we use soft under eye pads specifically designed for eyelash extensions. We never use surgical tape or lash tint paper, which are uncomfortable for the client.
Yes, but you won’t need mascara and you may even find you won’t need eyeliner. You can still use eyeliner and eye shadows as usual but remember to remove with a product that does not contain oil of any kind as this will affect the glue. At Ooh La La Lash Boutique we have specifically designed foaming eye makeup remover available for purchase. We also sell Luxe Facial Cloths which are a shammy like finish, having no strands these cloths allow you to wipe these over the eye area without the worry of getting caught on loose strands as you would with a store bought facial wipe or a face washer. It is important to remember that wiping down towards the lashes will cause a build up of makeup on the lashes and may lessen the life of them. Always wipe to the side.
You won’t have to. You can roll out of bed looking great and best of all it will make your lashes look like you’re wearing mascara 24/7 without the clumping, streaking and smudging look that you get with mascara. No more running and streaking mascara which is fantastic for brides on their special day. If you do feel the need to wear mascara though, we stock a mascara that is made for lash extensions.
Approximately 3-6 weeks if you respect your new lashes and take care of them. Remember this is a semi-permanent beauty procedure. Do not be duped by those who promise “permanent” extensions or attachments that last for 2+ months. A real lash’s life cycle is around 30 days, and as yours grow and fall out, so will the synthetic ones that are attached. If your hair and nails grow quickly then that may indicate that your lashes also are growing, shedding and renewing themselves quickly so you may find that your lashes will not last as long as someone whose hair growth is slow. Your life style and what work you do will also make a difference how long they last. A ladies lashes working in the food industry where there is a lot of heat, steam and oil may not last as well as a lady who works in an air-conditioned office. Eyelash extensions will not last for three months; this is false advertising.
Eyelashes have a growth cycle and unfortunately it is hard to determine which lash is ready to fall out naturally so it is unpredictable when applying the synthetic lashes. Each day we can loose 1-5 natural lashes, but often they fall out unnoticed unless they fall into your eye, but when eyelash extensions are applied we are more aware of when they shed as we know the extensions are there plus they are longer, darker and thicker. If you sleep on your stomach with your face squashed into the pillow or you favor sleeping on one side you may notice the lashes may not last as well as the other side.
Refills are when the natural eyelash has fallen out (due to the eyelash cycle) and there has been an extension lash applied to it. You will require refills every 2-4 weeks if you would like to achieve a full, fresh set of lashes consistently. At Ooh La La Lash Boutique we take the time to remove any eyelash extensions that have either grown out to far or are not sitting correctly.
If you become unsettled or claustrophobic easily this may not be the service for you. You can open your eyes HOWEVER it is ONLY when you have notified the Technician that you deem it necessary. This allows the technician to make sure the glue has set and so we do not scratch you eye with our tweezers.
Yes, because Ooh La La Lash Boutique we specialise just in eyelash extensions and we supply to other eyelash extension operators we carry a large range of lashes. Lengths start at 7mm and go up to 14mm. We also stock 3 different curls to suit each individual eye shape and desired look. We also offer luxe volume lashes that are finer lashes, in sets of 3, 5 or 10. These achieve a fuller effect, without being too heavy for the natural lash.
Each set is designed specifically to suit the individual eye shape, some people want longer towards the outside edge, longer through the centre and even the same length the entire way across. This is something we discuss with you when you come in.
